3 bed folding haulm topper

What makes our 6 row haulm topper so versatile:

  • Reduced running costs– competitively priced wearing parts and quick change flails for reduced down time
  • Front and rear mounted units give perfect balance in the field and on the road
  • Heavy duty stub axles, wheel bearings and easy rolling oversize wheels
  • Greatest range of cutting height due to superior depth wheels
  • Standard rotors on all three topper units which can be reversed in case of a damaged drive keyway
  • Rotors feature heavy duty 55mm taper lock bearings
  • Greater variation in flail length to allow better flailing in row bottoms and also flat blades across the row top for maximum suction
  • Category 2 linkage on front unit and Category 3 linkage on rear unit
  • Replaceable steel inner liner for hood protection unique to the Trinity range of toppers
  • Shear plates to assist fine chopping of haulm with choice of single row or full bed width deflectors
  • Inspection hatches on front unit
  • Optional Ridgepress system featuring individually sprung loaded 24” wheels
  • Adjustable row and bed widths from 30” to 40”
  • New for 2017: Kevlar V belts increased to 5 belts per topper unit upping the power transfer to a class leading 225hp
All three topper units use a standard rotor and are wide enough to allow flailing of the adjacent rows which ensures that no haulm is missed or rolled down by the tractor wheels. The rear units fold vertically to bring the whole machine within the legal width of 3 meters for transport.
Ridgepress kit:
* Choice of low pressure tyres or 600mm diameter steel rollers with rear mounted scraper
* Individually sprung for even pressing of the row top
* Fully adjustable for pressure and height
* Available on all topper models
“Floating” parallelogram action on the rear units to allow each topper to freely move up and down over varying contours.
Walterscheid PTO equipment throughout: 3 PTO shafts and 2 fixed 50mm drive shafts with 45mm bearings. Drive to each unit is by PTO shafts, gearboxes and 5 V belts. Each unit has an over-run clutch to allow the rotors to slow down at the correct speed.
The greatest variation of flail length in the market for this type of machine allowing our flails to run deeper into the valleys and create a significant increase in suction. Castellated shear plates are fixed to the front inner edge of each hood for fine chopping of the haulm. These are adjustable for wear.
Shear plates have been utilized to give a similar effect of a straw chopper. This in turn finely chops the haulm to the point where the following potato harvester can sieve the debris without the use of haulm rollers.
